"My name is Cristina but everyone knows me as Kre. I am 30 years old and currently i live in Bergamo although Venetian origins.
The idea of recycling skateboards come from the union of two great passions I have: draw / create objects with my hands and skateboarding that is part of my life for 10 years. I began to realize early work, about in 2008/09, a little by chance. Seeing the amount of boards that accumulated over time, I thought I'd do something with it.
In my works I do not just paint them but I often try to give it a shape. The boards I use are not simple pieces of wood, but objects that have lived together with those who used them.
With my work these skateboards are transformed into items of furniture and design: clocks, mirrors and blackboards, benches, etc ... rich in charm of what they were. My attention in giving a new look and formal is based on the form and function of the board and graphics unconsciously arise from the momentum generated by the use of the skate".
